In addition to written assessments, I have also successfully employed more interactive testing, such as audio and video-based assessments.

Speaking Assessments can be created using Flipgrid. Students can record themselves speaking their new language or explaining concepts
Audio assessments can be easily collected via link using Vocaroo.com
